I visited the David Hockney exhibition on sunday at the Royal Academy of Arts in Piccadilly. It was amazing to see his works in the flesh, such a beautiful mix of vibrant and subtle colours. I do prefer the subject matter in his works from the 60's (swimming pools, back yards and such). However the landscapes are impressive never-the-less.

Is today. (Also known as 'shrove tuesday'... which is the day before ash wednesday, the first day of lent). I have never come across the pancake aspect of this tradition, but the brits seem to be all over it. If you are indulging in a stack of the sweet stuff today, do enjoy!

Weather in London his getting somewhat better... blue skys, sunny days and temperatures are going up. I'm looking forward to spotting the first spring blooms on trees!

Love the casual outfits worn by these girls. You can't go wrong with a denim or leather jacket, especially paired with black and white (and bit of leopard print thrown in too). I've had my eye on a black denim jacket (from the kooples) for some time, the current sale is too good... I can't resist any longer.

The latest Karen Walker creations have just walked the runway at NYFW. Once again I'm swooning over her Fall12 collection. Those coats and jackets are a hit with me, especially adore the gold numbers (that first has ruffles on the back too, which is doubly-good). I like the pop of orange... a colour I can't really pull off myself, but appreciate all the same.

These girls are looking pretty delightful in frills and dresses. I'm looking forward to the day I can wear bare legs again... feels like so long ago since my pins have seen the light of day! Although rugging up for the snow in London at the moment is quite novel.
