A few of my favourites from the latest Stolen Girlfriends A/W 2011 lookbook 'last nights party'. Loving that purple hydrangea print, it looks great with black and white... and how cute is the badge to match! I would happily wear any of these outfits to last nights party, or any party for that matter.

Adore these cute table settings with retro objects and handwritten labels. Those mix-matched chairs are great too. It's not your typical look for a wedding, love that cake!

These images are from a linen feature Tanya and I styled a while back (it's one of my favourite shoots I've done to date). Mostly I like the moodiness and messiness. We tried to setup each bed so you can imagine what type of person may sleep there. This shoot appeared in the October/November issue of HOME New Zealand magazine.

I'm getting excited for upcoming trips away and spending the summer holidays out of the city. Counting down the days. For now the weekend will have to do, enjoy yours!

four ways with crepe paper.

Last month I got creative with crepe paper, making all kinds of easy decorations perfect for a summer gathering or a bit of christmas entertaining. This project can be seen in the December Christmas issue of Your Home & Garden magazine.

the final straw.

My packs of striped paper straws arrived in the post today, how exciting! I've been on the hunt for these beauties for a long while (got em in pink, red and green). They look so cute in glass milk bottles and paper cups, perfect for styling. I bought online via Katydid Paper Goods (for a very reasonable price), check out her website here. She sells bakers twine too!

extra-curricular.

By now many of you will be familar with this neat little publication 'extra curricular' put together by Ellie Smith. Well... issue four (right) is out soon, in time for christmas. I've done a wee craft project that will appear in the holiday activity book which comes free with the issue. Make sure you snap up a copy when it hits the shelves, that sweet cover art is hard to resist!

fancy that.

Just a mixture of summery and wintery outfits that have taken my fancy recently. Bursts of yellow and blue along with graphic black and white combinations seem to appeal.

little and friday.

I visited this great wee cafe 'little and friday' (43C Eversleigh Road,Takapuna) a few weeks back while on the north shore. My art director had raved about it and she wasn't wrong, such a gem. It is very cleverly put together, from the turquoise floors, delicious sweet treats lining the shelves, to the collection of vintage chairs all painted white. It's only open a few days a week, but during that time it's a thriving little hot spot.
