oh hail dior.
A friend showed me this amazing website showcasing dior perfume, it's popup book style. I actually squeeled with delight when I saw it! It is so beautifully done, with sweet music to accompany it. These stills do not do it justice, you must experience the book unfolding and the pretty scenery popping up. go have a squizz here.

a new favourite.
'The Selby' is the latest site to join my favourites list, it showcases the most gorgeous interiors, belonging to a range of artists, fashion designers, musicians and authors etc. Ranging from the likes of Peaches Geldolf to Alexander Wang, to that Cobrasnake guy. Such quirky looking people living in utterly enviable apartments and houses! Here's a few of my picks (it was almost impossible to narrow it down)

time will tell.
Fashion Designer 'Frank Tell' has been labelled as 'one to watch' (by the likes of Elle and Nylon magazine). I'm lusting after his autumn 09 collection, possibly the black white and grey combo (a fav of mine) and the delicious ruffly dresses. His spring/summer range was gorg too, with pretty floaty dresses and plenty of pleats. Thanks to refinery29 for making me aware of this little gem, I shall be following him with interest!

jonathan nichols.
I'm really liking the work of australian artist Jonathan Nichols, i think its the subdued gelato colours and painterly style of his. He has a kind of a weird voyeuristic approach, the subjects seem to be unaware they have been photographed, taken from behind, or from the outside looking in on a conversation. Apparently the subjects of his paintings, are "often photos sourced from the anonymous space of the internet". Which is a little creepy right, but hey it adds to the drama of them.

i like toast.
I seem to be posting a heck of alot about fashion lately, must be the change of season, I've got clothes on the brain. Many may be familiar with fashiontoast. The gal responsible (Rumi Neely) is definatly going places, i've seen her in various fashion glossys and mentioned as being a great inspiration, even appearing on fashion designers 'mood boards'! (she made it into my scrapbook). She's getting snapped at heaps of after parties and launches, what an exciting life she leads!
Her style is quite grungy chic (is that combination possible?), favouring chunky shoes or boots, fur, and a fan of the ripped/tattered fabric look. Perhaps not my personal style, however I can toats appreciate these wicked outfits. I envy her enormous collection of shoes! Here's a few of her outfits from her website.

also check out an interview here on the site Refinery 29, there's some rather harsh comments from readers, just a wee case of the green eyed monster me thinks.

launch night.
It's 'Cardboard Box' zine issue 3 launch time!
Held at the very cute Oui Boutique, St Kevin's Arcade, K Road. It's on this Thursday 12th March from 5.30 onwards. Along with the fab new issue, there will be a knitted window display by Sharon Russell, drawings by Sally Shand, and cast silver jewellery by Nicola McNabb. Should be a goodie.
Heres a sneek peak at my 'blog review' contribution below:
Hope to see you there!
