These days most of my pay check goes on concert tickets or flights and accommodation for various trips (plus the dreaded rent). However I will be sparing a few pounds for some spring/summer wardrobe updates... which begins with these shorts and those shoes in navy blue. The list will no doubt grow.

I'd love to get my hands on some of these gems by New York based designer Lauren Moffat. Her spring 12 collection is just lovely. I can't wait for swimwear and dress season to kick in, spring has definitely sprung here in London which I'm welcoming with open arms.

I'm planning to bake this 'golden syrup cake' (yum) tomorrow for a workmates birthday, it seems rather simple and the icing shall be particularly delish me thinks. Fingers crossed it turns out well.

St Patricks Day is coming up very soon. This year a group of us will be celebrating it with the locals in Galway, Ireland (to be sure, to be sure). I can't wait, and... it's the perfect excuse to get one of these green gems that I've been stalking at cos.

I visited the David Hockney exhibition on sunday at the Royal Academy of Arts in Piccadilly. It was amazing to see his works in the flesh, such a beautiful mix of vibrant and subtle colours. I do prefer the subject matter in his works from the 60's (swimming pools, back yards and such). However the landscapes are impressive never-the-less.

Is today. (Also known as 'shrove tuesday'... which is the day before ash wednesday, the first day of lent). I have never come across the pancake aspect of this tradition, but the brits seem to be all over it. If you are indulging in a stack of the sweet stuff today, do enjoy!
